I feel like I should need to clarify that even though I post art regularly, there is a certain amount of effort and motivation that goes into drawing something simple versus drawing a requested piece. Requests take longer than most of my regular art because: they require more effort and planning for what will be drawn (even if it is a simple character) they often serve as practice, and therefore take more time than say a 15 minute warm-up or a 45 minute (hurriedly) colored piece they are free art, meaning that as far as priority goes in my schedule, they meet the standards of the rest of my drawings- and can be pushed back depending on the circumstances. (The criteria are obviously different for commissions, which are paid drawings.) As well for the other posts: I draw art as a way to get my emotions out as well as as a hobby, and sometimes making a quick 15 minute drawing out of an hour I have of free time is necessary to keep my mental health in check.
